HPS Annual Exhibition
Today in my lunch break I wandered down to the Waterside Pavillion in Mawson Place on the Hobart waterfront to have a browse around the Hobart Photographic Societies Annual Exhibition.
It is designed as a showcase for both established photogrpahers and also up-and-coming photographers to show off a small collection of their best work. There is a great mix of different styles from sweeping landscapes, architecture through to intimate portraits.
So to have a look at some great local photography, head on down this week. Entry is via gold coin donation.

Gone South
Here’s a couple of images from a recent weekend at Catamaran, near Southport and Cocle Creek in far South Tasmania.
The beach is basically private, with only two or three properties having access to it, abundant with fish, abalone, rock lobster and even Calamari squid.
Absolutely perfect location for a lazy day by, or on the water, in one of the most untouched parts of Tassie.
Noah John Wicks
I had the pleasure of meeting, the latest offering to the world from some my closest friends late last week.
A healthy baby boy, Noah John Wicks, 7 pounds.
Congratulations to the parents, Daniel and Kiah, and Noah’s big sister, Izabella.
